Hyundai Veloster Concept: Video & Pics

Hopefully, the Veloster could be giving us some hints for a future compact coupe from Hyundai based on the new i30. And even though the folks over at Hyundai’s Design and Technical Center at Namyang may have taken a peek or two (or three, or four…) at Bertone’s 2007 Geneva Show Barchetta concept, we actually like the front-wheel-drived Veloster which is equipped with a 2.0-liter engine.

According to Hyundai the Veloster, who’s name is a compound of velocity and roadster, has been designed to cater to the tastes of the Y-generation. “With Veloster, we wanted to try something really different. Hyundai HND-3 Veloster Concept debuts at Seoul

Penned at the Korean’s R&D center in Namyang, the HND-3 Veloster Coupe is powered by a 2.0-liter engine and equipped with a 5-speed auto gearbox. According to Hyundai, the Veloster has been designed to attract the "Gen Y" generation. Unfortunately that’s about all we could get from the poorly translated Korean press release but we’ll try to find out more on Hyundai's latest Coupe concept that could be previewing the Tiburon replacement, later on the day.
