BMW designs Boeing 787 VIP Cabin for conjured Russian Tycoon

Unveiled at the Aircraft Interiors Expo 2007 in Hamburg last week was the BMW VIP 787 cabin. BMW Group’s DesignWorks USA was approached by Boeing to create a concept design for a fictitious affluent Russian Tycoon in his mid 30’s. The result was a luxury condo with wings that boasts a cargo area for your BMW, bars, couches, beds, along with semi-translucent walls for increased design flow, all perfect for the millionaire who spends most of his time circling the globe. This idea seems a bit familiar as BMW was also approached by Airbus last year to aid in the design of an A350 cabin and Embraer’s Phenom 100 and Phenom 300 light jets. More pics after the jump.
