Hamann Ferrari F430 Spider

Another week, another Hamann Ferrari F430. Well, this time it’s the rag-top F430 and thanks God, without all the “Black Miracle” coloured blasphemy. Hamann’s Spider has received a discreet bodykit promising to optimize aerodynamics with the addition of a front spoiler, a newly designed rear diffuser and a rear spoiler -we could do without that. Interestingly, all add-on parts are optionally available in carbon-kevlar or fiberglass version. You can also choose between a variety of multispoke 19’’ or 20’’ rims. Mechanic-wise, Hamann’s Spider gets the same treatment as the Black “plague” Miracle with a new high-performance sports exhaust system including a high-performance collector and sports catalysts that allows a a performance increase of 50Hp putting up the total output to 540Hp.Via: Motorpassion , Source Hamann

Ferrari Auctions Components From World Championship-Winning F1 Cars

Have a thing for original Ferrari F1 items and a bank account begging for a carbonfibre based diet? Here’s your chance to obtain five original components from Ferrari’s World Championship-winning F1 cars as the Italian supercar maker announced its first online auction of Ferrari memorabilia. The auction will take place at www.FerrariStore.com tomorrow, Thursday, May 10 at 3.00 PM and it will end on Monday, May 21 at 5.00 PM.

Here’s what you’ll be able to bid for: the rear wing side plate and the closed aerodynamic cooling left side panel from the World Championship-winning F2003-GA, the gearbox gears from the F2001 World Champion, the front wing with side plates from the F2004 World Championship-winning car, and the rear BBS Wheel Ferrari F1-2000 World Champion complete with original red metal Scuderia Ferrari flight case. -Follow the jump for a detailed description.

Description of auction items:

1) Rear BBS Wheel Ferrari F1-2000 World Champion

Wheels immediately conjure up the world of F1. This particular wheel, in fact, was originally sported by the F1-2000. 2000 was one of the most significant years in Ferrari’s F1 career: the team scored 170 points, 10 victories and 10 poles, winning both world titles in the process. For the first time in 21 long years, a Ferrari driver, Michael Schumacher, was crowned World Drivers’ Champion while the Scuderia Ferrari won the Constructors’ title for the second year in a row. Uniquely the wheel also comes complete with its original red metal Scuderia Ferrari box. The flight case used to transport it from Maranello to the various Grand Prix not only protects it from damage but also adds to an extra touch of authenticity and value to this collectors’ item.

2) Rear wing side plate from the F2003-GA World Champion

This component was fitted to the F2003-GA World Champion, Ferrari’s 49th single-seater and the car that gave Michael Schumacher his sixth Drivers’ title and Ferrari its fifth Constructors’ crown.

3) Front wing with side plates from 2004 World Championship-winning car

This front wing with two side plates was fitted to the World Championship-winning F2004. The component was used by Michael Schumacher during the Hungarian Grand Prix, Rubens Barrichello in the Japanese Grand Prix and Valentino Rossi during a test drive at the Valencia Circuit in February 2006.

4) Closed aerodynamic cooling left side panel from the F2003-GA World Champion

This particular component was installed on the F2003-GA World Champion, Ferrari’s 49th single-seater and the car that gave Michael Schumacher his sixth Drivers’ title and Ferrari its fifth Constructors’ crown.

5) Gearbox gears from the F2001 World Champion

The gearbox gears are another essential component. Each one, including the reverse, has its own serial number and ID plate. You can’t get more genuine than that. These particular gearbox gears were installed on the F2001 used in the first championship Grand Prix of the 2002 F1 season. These races contributed to Michael Schumacher winning his fifth World Drivers’ title and the fourth World Constructors’ title for the Scuderia Ferrari. A thoroughly satisfying season with 15 wins out of 17 races.

Colagno To Celebrate Ferrari’s 60th Anniversary With A Limited Series Bike

In commemoration of Ferrari’s 60th anniversary, Colnago will introduce a limited series bike at the CHINA CYCLE show held in Shanghai from May 4-7. Dubbed "Colnago for Ferrari", the bicycle is based on the Colnago Extreme Power frame, completely made in carbon fibre and assembled through lugs. The bicycle will feature the classical red livery, symbol of the ''cavallino rampante'' house, and on the front a stylized Italian tricolour flag. This is not the first time that Colagno has created a bicycle for Ferrari, as the relationship between the two began about seven years ago with the introduction of the Ferrari-branded CF1. Ferrari 612 Scaglietti Police Car: Maranello magic for UK cops

Being a cop might not pay much but a bunch of British police-officers will at least have the rare chance of getting behind the wheel of a 612 Scaglietti liveried in police colors that’ll be used for the UK leg of Ferrari’s 60th Anniversary that starts on April 18. The 612 Scaglietti will be driven by police officers at the front of the UK tour throughout the 1500 miles from Belfast to London. Gadgets: Ferrari F1 full- size replica

Though I’m not se keen on the idea of having a 4.5 m or 177-inch long race-car lying around my living-room as the seller suggests, this handmade Ferrari Formula One replica would surprise many of your neighbours if you parked it right outside of your garage. According to the company that sells it, the main body is carved from fibreglass, while the exterior decorations are made from metal, and the tyres are made from rubber –and no, the replica doesn’t have an engine. There’s only one catch and that’s the price which is 11.999 BP or around 23.800 USD / 17.600 EUR. 2008 Novitec Ferrari F430 Bi-Compressor Evoluzione

If you know your stuff on Novitec then you’ll have noticed that the magic word here is “Evoluzione” which translates to an addition of 20Hp over the “stock” Novitec Ferrari F430 Bi-Compressor’s 636Hp. The German tuner managed to raise output to 656Hp by revising the compressor and updating the engine management system. Funny enough, the Evoluzione still retains the same performance figures as the stock version with 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) coming in 3,7 sec while maximum speed continues to stand at 216mph - 348 km/h. For the love of God; can someone please stop all these super-cheery, car-ignorant folks from destroying one Enzo after another? This one fell into the hands of actor Eddie Griffin who was caught on tape crashing the 1.2 million USD Ferrari Enzo during a rehearsal for a charity-racing event to promote his movie “Redliners”. 2010 Ferrari Dino "Photoscooped"

We’ve been hearing many rumours lately about a new "entry-level" Ferrari that'll revive the Dino nameplate. Although nothing is official yet, most car magazines are quoting inside sources to corroborate their case. Same goes for the guys at Infomotori as they say that they’ve got new info on the "Dino". As usual, this info is translated into a photoshop, which in this case is the work of Andrea Rosati. The latter combined classic and modern Ferrari elements together to draw up his vision of how the Dino may look like.

Personally, I’m not digging this "Dino thing" as an entry-level Ferrari powered by a V6 engine. If we're talking about a new nameplate for the F430’s successor, that’s another deal, but don’t forget that Ferrari is a part of the Fiat Group which also owns Maserati. If they want a "cheaper" model to hit Porsche's 911, it would be more logical for them to do it with a Maserati and not a Ferrari. Via: Infomotori

THE GALLERIA FERRARI HOSTS SECOND “LA FERRARI AND THE MOVIES” EXHIBITION

Maranello (Italy)– The movies are back in the spotlight once again at the Galleria Ferrari in Maranello with the opening of the second exhibition devoted to the actors and films that have contributed to enhancing the Ferrari legend worldwide.

As part of the Company’s 60th Anniversary celebrations, this latest exhibition includes a selection of over 40 previously unseen photographs taken from the Ferrari Archive and featuring international film stars who fell under the spell of the Prancing Horse either on set or in their private lives. Stars immortalised at the wheels of their Ferraris, during visits to the Ferrari factory or on the sets of their films are now seen for the first time in public in a special exhibition with all the magic of the silver screen.

Clips from over 70 different films have been edited together too to tell the story of Ferrari’s output over the last 60 years through cameos from its most glittering car stars.

The Ferrari legend has inspired both Cinecittà and Hollywood since the company’s foundation and Prancing Horse cars have starred in some unforgettable scenes, sharing the screen with the likes of Ava Gardner and Gregory Peck in the black and white films of the 1950s and Sophia Loren and Marcello Mastroianni in the classic movies of the 60s. They’ve also featured in the films of Alain Dellon and Walter Matthau, the cult series of the '70s, and, of course, some of the most lavish Hollywood blockbusters of today.

The exhibition also includes a selection of posters, advertisements and stills from movies old and new as well, of course, as some of the stunning cars themselves, including the 250 GT California, which appeared in Vittorio De Sica’s unforgettable Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow and Roger Vadim’s Dangerous Liaisons.

A taste of what the exhibition has to offer will also be on show at the Ferrari Stores in Milan and Rome, from April 17th to May 7th and from May 9th to May 30th respectively. The exhibition runs until June 30th and is included in the price of the admission ticket to the Galleria which is open every day from 9.30 to 18.00 (and until 19.00 on May 1st).

2009 Ferrari Themed Park breaks cover

We’ve been hearing about Ferrari’s “Disneyland” style theme park for a long time now but we didn’t have any idea of how the park would look like. Thanks to “Car” we get that chance as the British Magazine managed to obtain the architect's drawings revealing the plans for the park that will be built in 2009 in Abu Dhabi, the capital(ism…) city of the United Arab Emirates.

The Italian car(?) manufacture plans to open the theme park in 2009. It will cover a massive 250,000 sqm and will feature 24 themed attractions for everyone who can afford it. According to Ferrari, attractions include a 70-metre-high G-Force Tower and a twin rollercoaster ride that for the first time allows its passengers to race against each other. A true “Disney” style park wouldn’t be complete without signature hotels, apartments, villas, a wide selection of restaurants, a retail area of about 300,000 sqm, golf courses, a water park, a tourist marina, a hotel overlooking the lagoon and numerous food and beverage outlets. Moreover, the park will also feature a motor racing circuit destined to host the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in 2009…

Whats next a Fiat-Ferrari? Oops, I forgot, they’ve already done that more than once and not only with a Fiat but also with Lancia (Thema 8.32V).
