2007 Mercedes CLK 200 K gets more power

Here we go again… Mercedes is shuffling up its engine range by upgrading the 2.0 litre Kompressor motor which now delivers 184 hp and generates a maximum of 250 Nm of torque (+21 hp and +10 Nm of torque compared to its predecessor). We remind you that the same engine used to have an output of 193 Hp before it was degraded to 163 Hp.

Anyway, the “new” 2.0 Kompressor engine will be available first in the CLK-Class Coupe and Cabriolet range improving top speed to 236 km/h (147 mph) for the Coupe fitted with a manual gearbox, and acceleration from 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in 8.8 seconds from previous 9.3 seconds. As usual, the revised 2.0 Kompressor engine will find its way into the C-Class, E-Class and SLK models later on.
